Struggle Between Nicolas Maduro and Diosdado Cabello
Maduro is the center of the polemic situation happening in Venezuela nowadays. The fragility of the Chavist movement has been revealed when two of its leaders, Diosdado Cabello, the President of the Congress and Nicolás Maduro, the Vicepresident, struggle for the power Chávez left when he died. The so-called constitution of Venezuela mentions that in case of the President’s death, the President of the National Assembly would have to assume its responsibilities. According to this country’s Constitution, the President of the National Assembly should be in charge of calling for free elections in 30 days.
However, this is not the case. Ex-president Chavez said before he died, that despite what the constitution said, he wanted Nicolas Maduro to take over the power of Venezuela. This had created a lot of polemic, as Maduro had now control over Venezuela. So according to the constitution he has to still call to elections.
In Peru there was a similar case, the ex-president of Peru Alberto Fujimori was involved in polemics about he treated terrorism and that he was stealing money from the government. So he escaped to Japan. When he escaped the country followed to constitution which says that the vice-president should become the next president and to call elections. Valentin Paniagua assumed the power, and he then called to elections. This is a great example of what Venezuela should do. However until now it’s not clear what will happen.

Capriles Leader of The Opposition
Henrique Capriles Radonski is a politician and lawyer in Venezuela. He was and is the opponent of the political party that Hugo Chavez started and now the leader is Nicolas Maduro. Capriles is the leader of the other Venezuelan party which is Primero Justicia. Last year he lost against Chavez with the 44, 31% of the votes and now that he is dead he is not willing to give up the charge of presidency so quickly. The actual fight against power is between Capriles and Maduro so Capriles is trying to see every weakness of his opponent so the people will start changing their opinion about him. Some days ago he said that Maduro did not have the capacity to take Venezuela forward to development.
According to Capriles, the actual government is giving petroleum to Cuba so they can finance them in some way but he says that this is useless to make this and if he is chosen he would not give any petroleum for Cuba. Capriles is starting to criticize every wrong aspect the actual government of Venezuela have so he will let all the people know about it and vote for him. I think this method he is using will bring him a lot of votes because Venezuela is having a lot of problems, social and economic, and if he let the people know about it they will want to change this and vote for the opponent.
In Conclusion, Henrique Capriles is the actual enemy of Maduro (in charge of Chavez’ Party) and he is using methods to end this reign of terror that is the government of Venezuela. In my opinion I think he is a lot better than Chavez party because he is offering ideas which will help with Venezuela’s problems and also he will end the “dictatorship” all Venezuelans were living.

Venezuela's Situation
Hugo Chavez passed out the 5th of March and the country has been left without the man who lead them since 1999. In a very polemical way, the vicepresident Nicolás Maduro has aascended in power as internal president until the elections are made. Critical times are coming for this Caribbean nation and they are not going to be easy to solve. However, the transition Venezuela will eventually have to become a stable country will not affect them only, but will reprecute in several States of the region.
Any aspect of the country's situation cannot be separated and analysed without taking in count the others, since they are all connected and in this case in a very strong way. On the political field, there are two ways the Venezuelans can go: one is following the current President-in-charge, meaning that the Government will continue managing the country's budget with the same criteria as Chávez, and the other one is by choosing Henrique Capriles the next 14th of April.
However, the deficit in the economy is increasing as well as the oil production is decreasing. As said before, no aspect can be isolated from the rest. Therefore, the decrease in the oil production (from 3.2 million barrels per day in 1998 to 2.4 million nowadays) will have an effect on the politics in Venezuela. The future Chavist governments and leaders will be at first helped by the figure of a Chávez that had 68% of popularity, but time will pass and the economic issues will develop into crisis. Hugo Chávez will appear again, but in the way that the people of Venezuela will find him as the potential saviour and the government seen as incompetent. Then change will come and the opposition will get stronger. The guilt of this disaster falls clearly upon Chávez's administration, which sold only about a million barrels, the rest were given to China and Cuba as a pay for debts and for the 40 thousand Cubans that are working in Venezuela. Moreover, the internal selling of the oil fueled the illegal exporting of this resource, which was very profitable.
Viewed from the numbers, the 21st Century Socialism has been a failure: At the start of his first period as president there was a deficit of 1 million houses, nowadays and after spending millions in populist programmes the deficit has ascended to 2 million. The inflation is about 25% per year, the highest in the region and the minimum wage isn't satisfying the needs of the population. Furthermore, the expropiation of 1200 businesses has left Venezuela lots of demands and problems as well as a poor reputation for investments.
These numbers only portray how the censorship in Venezuela and the control of the media had been manipulating the working classes. They haven't had any development, but lies and gifts that aren't really a help. They are having a great cost for the country and that will be felt in the next years. As it happened with the USSR after 1989 crisis will come for Venezuela, to a system that never actually functioned, but was made up by oil. With this regime, Cuba's one will also fall because they were supported by 100 000 barrels of oil a day. It is unknown if the help will continue, but it is sure that when the critical times come, the halo will disappear from Chávez's head.
