This isn’t the first time in the history of Egypt that such event took place in this land. If we recall the year 1952 or more recent event such as the one in 2011, me and my partner notice that before Mohamed Morsi was president Egypt suffered from a dictatorship ruled by Mubarak. A coup d’état was made to overthrow him. The coup was led by Hussein who then calls the elections. Those elections were won by Mohamed Morsi.
Nowadays Egypt suffers a new coup d’état. This time lead by the general that Morsi himself put in control of the army. His name, Abdul Fatah Al Sisi. He decided to overthrow Morsi because Morsi had the intention to change the Egyptian constitution for an Islamic constitution. Morsi is a fundamentalist. On the other hand his nation is progressive. After the coup Abdul Fatah Al Sisi named Adly Mansour as the interim president, while they call elections.
Casualties of the Coup:
· Alexandria, 3 people killed and at least 50 wounded.
· Minya, 3 people killed and 14 wounded.
· Cairo, 14 people killed.
