the First Computer
It is difficult to determine the creation of the first computer, because this term has been used for automatic computing engines to the modern computers and laptops we are used to see in our everyday life. The first programmable computer was developed in 1938 by the German scientist Zuse. However, this model was electro-mechanic, meaning that it did not work entirely on electricity. Since this date the computers were exclusively used in banks, data storage, in large companies and in important agencies, but it didn't reach the people's homes. It wasn't until 1975 when the term "personal computer" was used. It was mentioned by Ed Roberts when presenting his product, Altair 8800. As the computer is a complex instrument with lots of different aspects and components it wasn't created entirely at once. It is a product of collaborations, improvements and essentially innovations added to a basis.
The first portable computer was developed by IBM and released on September 1975. It weighed 55 pounds and it recieved the name of IBM 5100. A year after, Steve Wozniak designed the first Apple computer, called Apple I, 200 units of them were produced. In the early 1980's IBM was the most influential company in this area and joined the terms Personal Computer and Home COmputer. There was no sense in differentiating them anymore. Time Magazine named in 1982 the Computer the "Machine of the Year". From then on, the computer has only had an ascendant course in its importance to the World's system and in everyday life. Nowadays, computers are in all spheres of our lives and it is important to know its origins. The computer greatest contribution to science is the creation of a "global village" as people all over the world are in contact and globalization is taking place. They can serve for educational, cultural and laboural purposes and they are constantly being developed. Would you imagine a world without computers?

The History of google
The tale of this search engine starts in the year 1996. When in march the mathematicians Larry Page and Sergey Brin, both Ph.D. Students from Stanford; decided to join forces in the Stanford Digital Library Project, which aim was “to develop the enabling technologies for a single, integrated and universal digital library". Never the less Larry wanted more, he wanted to understand all the mathematical process of the World Wide Web and link them in a huge graph. We could say that was the first thought, that will later be developed in today’s number 1, search engine.
That same year the research project was called Backrub, never the less the next year the name will be changed to a name more similar to the actual one Googol. Googol actually means 10 to the 100. In 1997, the search engine will adapt his final name Google, but the domain of the search engine was google.stanford.edu. Until a new domain google.com, was registered on September 15 that same year.
In the year 1998, in the homepage of this search engine, the word beta still appeared and it had around an index of 60 million pages. That same year the company Google Inc., was created the 4 of September. The investors called them “the future of the web” and they were praised already over there competition.
After that Google launched different applications to it search engine and bought some web pages:
· 2002, Google News
· 2004, Orkut
· 2004, Gmail
· 2005, Google Maps
· 2005, Google Talk
· 2006, Google bought Youtube
